Baby B’s Shower
Oh hi! I’m so excited to give you all the details on Baby B’s shower today. I am probably the luckiest mama-to-be in the world because my mother threw me the most beautiful baby shower a girl could have. Plus, I had two very special guests attend my shower. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law flew in from Australia for the weekend to spend some time with us and attend my shower! Can you believe it!?! It was so nice to have them there!
I think the Hubs was pretty happy too!
We decided on a nautical baby shower theme, which is also the theme for our nursery. It fit so well with my parents’ beautiful house on Cape Cod. My mother and father, with the help of some of my awesome family like my brother, my other sister-in-law (his wife) and my cousins put on the most fabulous shower. Check out these details:
The mint was bundled together with ribbon and had directions on how to make mint iced tea on there!
An amazing menu of sandwiches, coleslaw, orzo pasta salad and Cape Cod potato chips satisfied all the hungry guests.
I got the chance to catch up with family and some of my good friends from high school, who had some great tips for me!
Everyone really embraced the nautical theme!
Our guests were way too generous with the presents and Baby B ended up with a lot of loot, including some fabulous nautical themed clothing!
One of my sister-in-laws made this wreath for me out of flowers. It was a nice nod to my Swedish heritage. I honestly don’t know how she did it! So cute!
Dessert was an amazing array of cupcakes and brownies. The cupcakes were beyond adorable and the sugar was enjoyed by mama and baby!
I felt so lucky to be celebrated by such amazing people and its amazing how loved Baby B is before he is even here! Thank you so much to Liz, Drew, Cat, Linda, Natalie, Katie, Susan, my mother and father for such a beautiful shower. And thanks to all my guests for spending their Sunday with me and showing Baby B so much love!
Readers, when was the last time you felt lucky? What’s the best thing you did this past weekend?
