The Busy Girl’s Guide: Snacking

Hi guys!  So it’s been awhile since I’ve done one of my Busy Girl’s Guide series.  Probably because I’ve been too busy to come up with ideas.  Ok sorry, bad pun aside, one of my favorite things to do is snack.  I mean what else are you supposed to do between meals!?  But sometimes finding healthy snacks can be a huge challenge.  When you are busy and on-the-go, it can be hard to find the time to pick up delicious yet good-for-you snacks from the store.  Enter Naturebox.*   I know what you are thinking, not another subscription box service.  But seriously, this one is all about food so you really can’t go wrong!

Here’s what I love about Naturebox:

  • The snacks are all nutritionist approved!
  • They are made with wholesome, real ingredients (none of those nasty things you can’t pronounce).
  • There are no artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors.
  • No high fructose corn syrup.
  • No trans fat and no partially hydrogenated oils.
  • The bags aren’t huge so you are more likely to pay attention to your portions (unless you are ok with your bag being gone in one sitting, I’m not!).
  • Individual snacks can be selected based on dietary needs such as gluten-conscious, vegan, soy-free, dairy-free, non-GMO and nut-free.
  • For each box they deliver, Naturebox donates one meal through Feeding America help millions of Americans who go hungry.
  • Shipping is free.
  • You can pause and cancel at any time.

I am completely obsessed with their plantain chips.  I think they are pretty much the best thing ever.  Well, except for the figgy bars.  I am a die-hard fan of their figgy bars.  It doesn’t matter the flavor.  I love them all!

Here’s how it works:

  • Choose a plan.  You can select month to month or you can prepay for 3, 6 or 12 months and get a discounted monthly rate.
  • Choose your snacks.  You get 5 each month but you can add on additional snacks for $3 each and sometimes they have $1 add-on deals!  Make sure to add a bunch of snacks to your pantry in case they are out of your selected snack or you forget to go in and add in snacks for the next box, they’ll be in your pantry and automatically added to your next box (you can also have Naturebox select for you).
  • Wait for your package of goodness to arrive.  My box usually takes a week after I get a shipment notification.

And guess what!?  They now ship to Canada.  Rejoice my friendly neighbors, rejoice!
