The Best Places to Eat on Cape Cod

Hi there! Did you have a great weekend? I feel like these summer weekends are flying by!  Last week I gave you a recap of my favorite beaches and things to do on Cape Cod and this week I want to talk about my favorite thing, food! I love eating so its no surprise that I tried to find the best places to eat on Cape Cod!

28 Atlantic
I already told you about the amazing meal (including the mocktails!) we had at 28 Atlantic.  This is fine dining on Cape Cod.  It’s so delicious an the service is excellent.  With an idyllic view, there is nothing missing here.  Check out my full recap with all the drool-worthy photos here.

The Ocean House
The Ocean House was bumping the night we went and it was easy to see why.  Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and with a great fusion-style menu, this place is a gem in Dennisport.

It happened to rain on our way to the restaurant and it cleared just as we were arriving resulting in perfectly calm seas and a beautiful double rainbow!

Our meal consisted of:
Tuna Ice Cream Cones (for the Hubs, obviously not me!)

Crab cake in red curry.  I loved the take on traditional Cape Cod seafood with some Thai influence.  It was so good but so big!

For mains we had a beautiful pesto pasta with tomatoes, ricota salata and shrimp. It was unlike any pesto I’ve ever had- way creamier and more similar to a curry. Probably not the healthiest thing but so delicious!

The Hubs had this wonderful Chilean sea bass with Chinese black rice and corn and dill salad.

We even had some mid-dinner entertainment!

The only drawback to this restaurant was that despite the extensive cocktail menu they had absolutely no mocktails, which was really disappointing!

PJs
Rather than rely on the snack bar at the drive-in we visited, we decided to pick up some food to take with us.  PJs was recommended to us as the best lobster rolls.  Now, on a place where seafood is king, this is a big call!  However, after indulging in these babies with buttery buns and lightly mayoed lobster, I can attest that these may be the best lobster rolls I’ve had.

Their coleslaw was pretty awesome too! Homemade is always appreciated!  The Hubs really liked their potato salad!

The only downside? You have to drive all the way to Wellfleet to get these!

Orleans Waterfront Inn
We actually stumbled on this place while looking through a Cape guide book.  We passed it on the road and on a whim said, lets get lunch! While my summer salad with berries and goat cheese was good and the Hubs’ chicken burger hit the spot, the real winner here is the amazing view.

I don’t even think these photos can capture the serenity of sitting by the water here.  Watching sailboats, kayakers and stand up paddlers go by almost lulled me to sleep.  Actually, just describing it all makes me want to go back and lounge there for an afternoon.  So lovely!

Ben and Jerry’s
No trip to Cape Cod is complete without ice cream!  While there are many great local places, Ben and Jerry’s is open late, so keep that in mind.  Plus, they have some pretty awesome flavors!
