Friday’s Food & Fitness: On the Mediteranean

You guys!  I had the BEST post prepared for you yesterday!  I worked on it for DAYS.  I was so close to being done.  I was ready to go and then…iMovie happened.  It was a technology fail of epic proportions.  There may have been tears.  Needless to say, I’ll be heading to the genius bar.  Or if anyone knows a genius, send them my way!

Anywho, I’ve got an exciting post for you today!  How much thought do you put into your diet?  Do you follow a specific diet?  Do you know why you follow a specific diet?  Find out my take!

Vegan, gluten-free, pescetarian, paleo, intermittent fasting, low-carb, vegetarian, raw… with all the different diets and food preferences out there today it can be hard to determine what is actually healthy, what works best for you.  While I would never advocate that there is a one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition, I do think there are general principles based on scientific research that are simply healthier for you.  Personally, I’m not one to give things up so that’s why no meat, no cheese, no bread, no eating diets don’t work for me.  Enter the Mediterranean-Asian diet.  I started learning about this diet a few years ago and I was hooked on it immediately.  While I can’t say that it is a diet I follow religiously, I can say that the overall principles are very important to me in my daily life.
