Greetings from Cape Cod!

Hello all!  Thank you so much for your patience this week while I took a little time for some R &R!  I can’t even tell you how much I needed it!  I’ve got a great run down on what I’ve been up to so hopefully you guys can forgive me and get lost in some of these images! 🙂

Greetings from Cape Cod

We’ve been hitting the beach pretty much everyday!  There are so many gorgeous beaches along Cape Cod.

Beach 6

Some of our favs from the week include Coast Guard Beach, Marconi Beach, Sagamore Beach and Cape Cod State Park Beach.

i don’t know about you but there is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the beach, toes in the sand and playing in the water!

The Hubs loves body surfing the waves but this summer for some reason the seas were so calm!  Luckily, we did manage to find some decent waves!

Of course it doesn’t make you feel so great when you arrive at the beach and see this sign!

Shark

Yep, they are warning swimmers of sharks!  Hello JAWS!  We did actually see quite a number of seals off the coast of the beach.  No sharks but since sharks feed on seals, you can’t be too careful.  At least this is how I justify jumping up and down and raving like a mad lunatic for the Hubs to come in closer to shore everytime I saw a seal….

Of course we couldn’t lounge at the beach the ENTIRE time we were there so we grabbed our bikes and headed to Dennis, MA to bike the Cape Cod Rail Trail.

The Cape Cod Rail Trail is a 22 mile paved bike path that stretches throughout most of the Cape.

The trail begins in Dennis and stretches up to Wellfleet.  The views along the way are amazing!

We did 22 miles (half way there and back) and for the middle of the summer, it really was not that crowded!

In addition to biking, we did some kayaking, tennis and golf.  Our vacations are always really active!

Of course, we didn’t just exercise over our vacation.  We also had some amazing food!  One of our old favorites is The Chart Room.   In addition to their great seafood menu, the restaurant has amazing water views!

We went to dinner with the fam and it was so nice to relax with them after a tough beach day! 😉

After dinner, we were treated with this amazing sunset!

How awesome is that!?!

The Hubs and I also enjoyed s romantic meal at 28 Atlantic located at Wequasset Resort and Golf Club.

We started out with a drink overlooking the water.  Because it was a cool, Caoe Cod evening, I took some advantage of the fire pit!

We had a great table at the restaurant with incredible views of the water.  Something about eating on the water is just so relaxing and care free!

The food at 28 Atlantic was incredible! We did the chef’s tasting menu and I highly recommend it if you ever have a chance to go!  The fish and oysters were particularly tasty!

Well, that’s about it for the vacation!  Oh one more thing!  I haven’t announced the winner of the Jaybird wireless headphones yet.  The winner is . . .
