Happy Fourth of July and Travel Review of Cape Cod
Hey all! Hope you had a fabulous Fourth of July holiday. I was lucky enough to have four consecutive days off, which was so relaxing. The hubs and I headed up to my parents’ house on Cape Cod with some friends for the weekend. It was great to spend some time with family and friends. Not to mention I’ve got some pretty exciting stuff coming up for you guys in the next few days!
This weekend we decided to venture out onto the Cape a bit more and away from our normally very self-contained weekend. We headed to Falmouth on Cape Cod. Falmouth is a very cute beach town. We were lucky enough to score a great spot on the beach since we got there pretty early in the morning.
Check out the views!
Of course I’m never still on the beach! In addition to some hard core swimming in the waves, we set up some beach games to keep everyone active
Ladderball was a fav!
I love good ol’ fashioned paddleball!
Of course there was some time for relaxation!
At about midday everyone’s tummies were rumbling so we drove into town for lunch. We went to the cutest cafe and I can’t remember the name of it for the life of me! #Fail.
They had so much lobster on the menu!
I couldn’t resist a lobster roll. The Hubs ordered a totally spicy, totally delicious breakfast burrito. My bro had this lobster club, which looked amazing!
After lunch, everyone decided to walk off our calories and check out the shops.
Well, everyone except the Hubs who decided to get ice cream!
There were so many cute little shops through the center of town in Falmouth.
Of course we had to have a traditional bbq for Independence Day! Southwestern burgers complete with habanero cheese and various salads were on the menu.
Plus a toast to independence!
The fireworks display this year was unreal. I tried my best to capture them on camera. It wasn’t easy but I got a few good shots for ya! Check ‘em out!
Readers, what did you do this weekend? How did you celebrate the Fourth of July? What’s your favorite beach town?
