Sad Day

Today I’m suspending my originally scheduled post to tell everyone that I’m deeply saddened by what happened today at the Boston Marathon.  Massachusetts is my home state and while I love NYC, I will always root for the Red Sox and prefer the Cape to the Hamptons.  This attack on an event that is about sports and comaraderie is disheartening.  I’m so sad for the victims and families who were injured by this intentional act of violence.  This particular incident hits close to home for me because I have friends and family that work and live in Boston, but these incidents have become all too common.  I hope that somehow in the future we can live without fear of these attacks and engage in happy events like the Marathon without threat.
