Sriracha Carrot Hummus {Healthy Recipe}

I had this Eat Well Embrace Life Sriracha Carrot Hummus about a year ago for the first time and it was obsession at first bite.  I loved the inventive twist on classic hummus coupled with the spiciness of the sriracha.  Plus, an extra dose of veggies from the carrots didn’t hurt either!

I decided then and there I HAD to recreate it.  And then life happened.  But a year later, I’ve recreated this hummus and I’m so glad I did!  I will never eat plain old boring hummus again.  This recipe is perfectly delicious with a nice surprise kick!  I like to eat mine straight up with pita chips or veggies or use it as a spread for a salad wrap.


2 carrots, peeled and coarsely chopped
2 cans of chickpeas, drained
1 tablespoon olive oil
2-3 tablespoons of water
2 gloves of garlic, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup of sriracha (more or less depending on how spicy you like it!)
1 tablespoon of honey


1. Place carrot and garlic in food processor and process until finely chopped.
2. Place remaining ingredients except water into food processor and process until smooth.
3. Slowly add water to hummus while watching consistency making sure it does not become too watery. Serve and enjoy!
