Three Truths and One Lie: The Answers

Hey all!  Did you check out yesterday’s post, Three Truths and One Lie?  I’ve got the answers you’ve been waiting for here today!  Hope you enjoyed the fun little game.  Have a great weekend!

three truths

Group A:

The lie: I was a cheerleader. Nope! I played field hockey in the fall and although I tried out for winter cheerleading, the game schedule conflicted with my dance schedule so I was never a cheerleader!

You may find it hard to believe that I ran varsity track but I did! As a freshman and sophomore. Then I realized that I didn’t really like running and I gave it up!

Yes, I drove to school even though I lived 5 minutes away. In fact, myself and two other girls who also lived about the same distance car pooled. We spent more time and logged more miles picking each other up than it would take to get to the school from our respective houses. What can I say…when you just got your license driving is paramount!

Group B:

The lie: I lived in a sorority house. Not true! I was in a sorority (Kappa Alpha Theta) but none of the sororities at my alma matter (University of Richmond) had houses. UR did have a unique housing system where the ladies lived in the dorms on one side of the lake and the men lived on the other side. This was a tradition since the beginning of the school but it actually changed when I was there and they started integrating the dorms.

I was in a dance company in college and I taught group fitness classes. I feel like those were obvious! 🙂 And yes, the second semester of my senior year I took all of these difficult senior seminars and my lowest grade was in my art elective. I will never ever get over this!

Group C:

The lie: I get terrible seasickness. Not true! I grew up on a boat. Ok not literally, I grew up in a house BUT my Dad loves boats and we had one growing up. Rather than going on vacations in far away destinations, we headed to the Cape every weekend to take our boat to amazing places like Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. It was so fun. So, needless to say, I definitely do not get seasick. There is one exception and that is on the boat to/from the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. While I did not actually get sick either of the times I went there (and one time we went by helicopter!!), about 75% of the people on the boat do get sick because it is incredibly rocky to get out there and all the people getting sick around me made me feel so awful!

Yes, it is true that I have never been to Canada. I know.

Group D:

The lie: I’ve never been to court. You guys! This is a trick question! I am a LAWYER. Not only have I been to court, I’ve been to courts all around NYC, Westchester and Long Island!

My belly button is pierced but I had to take the ring out when I got an MRI a year ago. I never put it back in, which is a good thing because I’m pretty sure it would not have gone well with my big pregnant belly.

Readers, any of these answers surprise you? Did you play along yesterday? If not, tell me three truths and one lie!
